Feedback Time! Nichido Final Powder in Creamy Glow..

Hey guys!

I'm here once again to share my honest opinion about the latest makeup products in the market. This time, I'll be  reviewing the Nichido Final Powder in Creamy Glow. Please take note that the said product is not sponsored. Everything indicated in this blog is bought by me, unless indicated. :)

I'm suppose to start by making a brief introduction about the company but unfortunately they don't have a website. They do have a Facebook account, click here.

I remember owning this product way way back. If I'm not mistaken that was 6 or 7 years ago. The packaging is still the same with what they had before but as for the consistency, I pretty much don't remember.

Its' claims and ingredients:

Picture perfect skin in any light, highlights you with soft sheer, flawless effect that keeps natural glow with this final touch, it evens skintone and disguising imperfection.

The product contains Talc, Kaolin, Magnesium Carbonate, Zinc Stearate, Bismuth Oxychloride, Mica, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Perfume. May contain: +/- CI 77492, CI 77491, CI 77499, and CI 12085.

It's a product of Goldline Cosmetic Manufacturing Corp. which can be found in Caloocan City. I'm not sure but I would jump into conclusion that it is MADE IN THE PHILIPPINES, correct me if I'm wrong. Product contains PARABEN and TALC which they say can cause Cancer. Don't be alarmed too much. I suggest to do some reading first. Here's a link regarding talc, click here. For paraben, click here. It also has a smell which reminds me of baby powder.

The packaging is quite decent. I love the sleek black cap but of course, it's not scratch proof. It comes with a branded puff which is not that soft. I pretty much don't use it. What I usually do is I just puff the powder all over my face and neck then I blend it with my buffing brush. If you don't want the powder all over the place everytime you open the lid, my advise is to keep the puff inside.

I love the consistency of this loose powder. It's very soft, very silky, and very light. Just like a baby powder. Unlike the Essence All About Matt! Fixing Loose Powder and the The Body Shop Nature's Minerals Foundation which are not that silky when you rub it between your thumb and index finger.

Since this is a loose powder, it gives you a barely there look. The finish is silky and light. Don't expect that it will give you a full coverage because it's a final powder which is used as a finale and for retouching. It gives little coverage which is very good for touch ups and if you just want to look fresh and not oily. At first I thought I got the wrong shade, but the shade was perfect for my skintone. The creamy glow has a yellow undertone which blends well on my skin. I'm not sure how many but there are other shades available. There's also a shade that is shimmery.

The color looks very light. But trust me, it blends well on the skin.

After buffing. Applied over EB Advance BB Cream. (Right Side)

Gives you a barely there finish. Doesn't have shimmers in it.

I've been using this for almost a week now and I'm so inlove with it. I'm so happy I re-purchased it after so many years. After priming and applying two-way foundation, I finish off my make-up with this. I have other loose powders but I'm not using them right now because this is currently my favorite. After sweating and everything, I still look so fresh. My face doesn't look cakey even after retouching my face with this. I look so blooming. :) Even my partner is impressed because I don't look like I have too much makeup on.

For the oil control part, I noticed a little oil on my nose after 2 hours. My T-zone became oily after 4 hours so usually I do re-touching or blotting in that time frame. Btw, I haven't used this powder alone so I can't really comment about its' oil control factor if this is the only thing that you will use.

As for the amount of product in the container, I think this will last me for more than a month. Even if I'm going to use it everyday. It contains 25g of loose powder.

Now that's a lot! :)

To summarize, here's what I love and hate about the Nichido Final Powder. Please take note that these are what I encountered. Our skin differ so what worked for me might not work for you, vise versa.

What I HATE!
  • Messy. Be careful using this specially if you are wearing dark clothing. Either you're using the puff or a brush, the powder gets everywhere. But don't sweat it! It's easy to dust off.
  • Paraben and Talc. May not be good for us. Kindly check the link I provided above about these ingredients.
  • Puff. Kinda rough. Still, even if you don't use it, don't throw it away. Keep it inside the container to avoid the mess everytime you will open it. You will thank me later.

What I LOVE!
  • Texture. Very soft. Again, just like baby powder.
  • Finish. I look so flawless with this. I look so natural, as if I'm not wearing makeup on. (When used with a buffing brush) Blends well on the skin. Doesn't look cakey even after several applications.
  • Matte. It has a silky matte finish that I love! I don't like shimmery powders. I believe you can pull off those type of powder only when you go clubbing.
  • Price. Super affordable! :) 150 (approx. US$4)
  • Availability. Widely available. You can find them at Watsons, SM Malls, and Robinsons Malls.

Re-purchase?
- Definitely a BIG YES!! I super love this powder.

Recommend?
- Of course I will recommend this! Share the wealth. :) But please take note that what I experienced with this product may not be the same with what you will or have experienced.

Kiss Mark?

- I'm giving this baby 4.5 kissies!

Thank you guys for reading. I hope this post is informative enough.

Up next, San San HD Concealer.

Tata for now! :)

    1. Hello dear! :) Thanks for checking this post. It is a good product. You seem to have a little of everything in your blog. Love that you have almost all the Real Techniques products. I'm also loving my core collection. Enjoy the rest of the day!

  2. Is this ok to use alone after the bb cream, or we have to use powder foundation first before this?
