Feedback Time! The Body Shop Nature's Minerals Cheek Colour in Pink Quartz

Hey Guys!

How are you? :) For those who celebrated Easter, how was it? Here in the Philippines, it was a long holiday because it's a Holy Week. Most of the people are out of town to enjoy summer and some do remember to repent by visiting churches. Well, for those who are not aware, most Filipinos are Catholic that's why we have this holiday.

Anyhoo, I'm back once again to share to you guys what I think about another makeup product. This time, it's The Body Shop Nature's Minerals Cheek Colour in Pink Quartz. Since this is my first time reviewing a product from The Body Shop, let me give you some details about the company.

https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn2/v/t1.0-9/q83/s720x720/10157338_10202916829714139_2286223255919711556_n.jpg?oh=395bad735cf5b3c2dd674707ecddf5dc&oe=53C2CF1F&__gda__=1406061258_22814a0d141238134804b91fd3f2cc69

If you want to check out what they have in store for you, you can check their website and their Facebook account. For those who lives in the Philippines, they have their local website and Facebook account. Don't forget to Like them to receive product updates and promos.

The Nature's Minerals Cheek Colour is part of their Nature's Minerals Line. The other products are the Nature's Minerals Eye Colour and the Nature's Minerals Foundation. I also have the foundation but I don't use it that much. Honestly, I have no idea if this line is still available since I got my products early last year.
https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/t1.0-9/1604733_10202916854154750_5655953753672587906_n.jpg
The Nature's Minerals Cheek Colour comes in 4 shades. I got the Pink Quartz which is close to a rose color.
https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn2/t1.0-9/10011274_10202916854474758_220767436997619648_n.jpghttps://fbcdn-sphotos-a-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-frc1/t1.0-9/10295818_10202916854674763_292573000221719306_n.jpg

As what it says on their website, The Nature's Minerals Cheek Colour is a "A premium, up-to-the-minute loose powder formulation for the cheeks, made from minerals. Long-lasting, blendable powders that feel very light on the skin, provide a sheer flush of shimmering colour to accentuate the cheeks. Applies easily and colour blends and builds evenly onto the skin to provide adjustable coverage."

It also says that, "This product contains:
Mediterranean clay - is an absorbent mineral that helps to bind the make-up to the skin for long-lasting coverage.
Mica - in selected shades - adds lustre and has light diffusing properties to help disguise fine lines.
Titanium dioxide and iron oxide - in selected shades - provides a natural-looking colour palette"

Well, that mediterranean clay description is very true. You will know why when you see the pictures.

Here's what the product looks like and some swatches:

The powder is very fine and smooth.

https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/t1.0-9/q88/s720x720/10252144_10202916830474158_3018982959867397740_n.jpg

After blending. I know it looks shimmery and it doesn't look like there's any pigment but wait until this product settle on your skin.

 https://scontent-a-lax.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-frc3/t1.0-9/q85/s720x720/1613853_10202916829834142_296735512310237417_n.jpg
This is how it looks like once your skin absorbs the product.

It's only now I realized how pigmented this product is. I don't really use this because I was thinking that it's too shimmery for my liking and there's hardly any pigment. I used to love shimmery makeup but recently not anymore. After applying, my cheeks always looks like they are shinny shimmering splendid, which I hate. But it's only now that I observed that the shimmer is not bad because I can hardly see any glitter and that the color changes once your skin absorbs it.

Also, the color is very deceiving. On the container, the product's color is more on a rosy side. When you swatch it, it's shimmery and pearly. I don't know how to describe it but you know that those shimmers are somewhat white in color because it will appear on your swatch. When the product settles, it transform into a bronzy pink color which is very nice. I love it! This is definitely a good bronzer for me.

All this time, I've been judging this product on how it looks. I'm so happy I did this review because I'm already ignoring this product. :P

To summarize, here's what I love and hate about the The Body Shop Nature's Minerals Cheek Colour. Please take note that these are what I encountered. Our skin differ so what worked for me might not work for you, vise versa.
What I HATE!
  • Messy. I was going to say none because I'm already loving this product but I guess I hate the idea that it's a loose powder. It's pretty messy!
  • Price. I honestly don't remember the price but it more than 500 (approx. US$12++) for a 2g product.

What I LOVE!
  • Packaging. The packaging is so cute and very light. I love the glittery cap.
  • Consistency. This product is very smooth and fine like a baby powder.
  • Finish. Like what I said awhile ago, the color changes once your skin absorbs it.
  • Cruelty-free. I love animals. I'm so happy to know that they don't test this to animals. :)

Re-purchase?
- A DEFINITE YES! But I'm not so sure if this is still available. They do have a new mineral line though.

Recommend?
- YES! Grab it if you found one. It's definitely worth buying if you don't mind the price and it being messy.

Kiss Mark?

Feedback Time! Etude House Drawing Eyebrow in 01 (Dark Brown)

Hey Guys!

I'm here to share my thoughts on the Etude House Drawing Eyebrow in #01. I hope this will be a big help for those who are thinking of getting it or not.

Etude House is a South Korean cosmetic brand founded in 1966. It is owned by Amore Pacific Group. They have more than 200 brand shop in South Korea and across the world. They may not be available in other countries but some products can be found on ebay. Just be careful when purchasing online because I heard there are fake Etude House products already. :{
Etude House has an international website. Go check out what products they have. For those who lives in the Philippines, they have a local website and a local Facebook account also.

Etude House Drawing Eyebrow has 6 colors available. What I got is the dark brown or the #01 which is just perfect for my skintone and black hair color.

This product is refillable. How cool is that?!

Here's what the #01 (dark brown) looks like:

It has its own spoolie which is soft and very effective.

Here's a swatch and how it looks like on me:

OMG!! Those bags! :Z Sorry but I'm not going to edit them.

Okay, so while doing my makeup on the upper photo, look what happened to my baby;

https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-frc3/t31.0-8/q90/s720x720/1271392_10202812789993211_7556945319413252747_o.jpg
I have no idea how it broke since I only twisted less than a centimeter of product when I used it. It was only my second time using it btw.

OH NOH!! The one that came off is now stuck inside the cap. Shoot! Now I have to find a pin or something to remove it. Darn it.......

https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn2/t31.0-8/q82/s720x720/1795820_10202813693055787_6404926034550545765_o.jpg

Just look what happened! Arrrgghhhh.. Now i need to buy a new one. I was so ready to rave about this product but damn! I know it's cheap but still.. :( What a waste!

WARNING!! Do not even try to repair this product. I tried repairing it but the product just crumbled. I shaped it and shoved it back inside the container but it got stuck on the opening and I can't even unscrew the remaining product. It even stained my table.

Lol! :) What a cheapskate I am. Well, atleast I tried. I was able to remove the stuck product on the tip by scraping it with a pin. Now I'm left with a very tiny amount which I honestly think will only last 3 days on me.

To summarize, here's what I love and hate about the Etude House Drawing Eyebrow. Please take note that these are what I encountered. Our skin differ so what worked for me might not work for you, vise versa.

What I HATE!
  • Consistency. Need I say more. I have no idea why the hell my "drawing" broke. I didn't even drop it. I read some bloggers experienced this also. So be careful!
  • Pigment. It's not that pigmented. The swatches on my hand were applied twice. So you may need to swipe the product several times to achieve your desired color.

What I LOVE!
  • Packaging. I adore the packaging. I think it's unique. Even the spoolie is soft. :)
  • Variety. They have 6 colors available which is really convenient because some brands have only brown and black.
  • Finish. I really love the finish of this product. Since it's not that pigmented, it looks natural on your eyebrows.
  • Price. Super duper cheap! :) 128 (approx. US$3). For the refill, it's only 78 (approx. US$2).

Re-purchase?
- Yes of course! I told you I'm suppose to rave about this product but an unfortunate thing happened. Still, I'm buying a new one. I'm getting the refill. I'm also going to get another color. Maybe the gray one. :)

Recommend?
- Yes I will recommend this! Just please, be careful. Don't put too much stress in your hand when applying it. Maybe that's why mine broke. I really don't know. :l

Kiss Mark?

- I'm giving this baby 4 kissies! even after the catastrophe.

Thank you so much for reading this! :) Don't forget my heads up on this product.

Feedback Time! Maybelline New York HyperSharp Liner

Hey Guys!

It's April already and soon it's Christmas again. Lol! :) Excited much? Anyhoo, here's what I think about the Maybelline New York HyperSharp Liner.

Maybelline New York HyperSharp Liner is an ultra-fine liquid eyeliner with .05mm brush tip. It's available in other Asian countries but I honestly don't know if it's available in other countries besides Asia. When I checked the Maybelline website, I saw that there is a similar product to this which is the Eye Studio Master Precise Ink Pen Eyeliner. I can't say they are comparable but they have the same advertisement. :)

Here's what the product looks like and its' swatch:

I have to re-apply the product 3x because it's almost dry.

Mascara (Maybelline The Rocket) & Eyeshadow (L.A. Colors Dreamy 6 Color Palette)

Sorry I don't have a product description and ingredients since this is not newly bought. I got this product mid December last year. Though it's quite dry already, I would have to say that it's still easy to apply.

The product is waterproof and SOMEWHAT smudge proof. As you can see in the pictures that it did smudge but this happens when it's not yet dry. Once the product is fully dry, expect it to last all day long.

To summarize, here's what I love and hate about the Maybelline New York HyperSharp Liner. Please take note that these are what I encountered. Our lids differ so what worked for me might not work for you, vise versa.

What I HATE!
  • Brush. Honestly, it's too long and too pointed for me. I always end up making a mistake when I'm using this.
  • Consistency. I didn't use this for almost 2 months and it's kinda dry already. BUMMER!
  • Finish. Not totally smudge proof. Be careful not to rub your eyes.
  • Price. 399 400 pesos (approx. US$9) for a quick drying eyeliner. Hmmm..

What I LOVE!
  • Packaging. I'm loving the gold and black color! It's very comfortable to hold also.
  • Consistency. The product is easy to apply.
  • Finish. I like the glossy look.
  • Longevity. This product last more than 12 hours on me over concealer, foundation, etc. I don't need to retouch when I'm using this. If you're using it alone, I would have to say up to 8 hours. That's without scrubbing your eyes.

Re-purchase?
- Ummmmm... I'm still not sure because I want to try other brands. We'll see! :)

Recommend?
- Yes, because this is a definite must for those who wants to add dramatic designs on their faces. If you're not one of them, I'm just going to recommend a gel liner.

Kiss Mark?

Thank you guys for taking the time to read this. I hope this was a big help.

Feedback Time! Bobbie Kaleidoscope Polish in Cherie Red

Hey Guys!

I'm back to share my thoughts on the Bobbie Kaleidoscope Polish in Cherie Red. Please take note that my reviews are honest and not biased. Well, there is no reason for me to be biased because everything is bought with my own money. Let's start!

Bobbie is a brand under Chic Centre Corporation which was established in 1977 here in the Philippines.

If you are visiting the country, you might want to checkout the local brands we have here. From shoes to cosmetics, we have a lot of products. I enjoy doing that when I'm vacationing abroad. If you want to see what they offer, you can check their website. Though I think it's not updated because I can't find the Kaleidoscope there. They do have a Facebook account which is up-to-date.

This is actually my very first color changing nail polish. I had bought it early this year and I already used 1/4 of the product. It's not because I always use it, this is actually the third time I'm using this polish. The reason is I need to put several layers to achieve that flawless, no visible nails look. If you get my drift.

This product comes in 5 colors. I don't own the photo above!

Anyhoo, here are the pictures of the product:

https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-frc3/t1.0-9/q77/s720x720/10150801_10202850402893510_5611501205508352531_n.jpghttps://scontent-b-lax.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn2/t1.0-9/q79/s720x720/10155522_10202850403333521_2354559339389737431_n.jpg

Here's how they look after application and during color change:

From icy pink, the polish turns into french pink. I got the color names from the internet.

I love the before and after color of this polish. I also love the transition it makes every time I hold something cold. The only thing I hate is that you need to apply several layers to fully cover your nails. Would you believe I have 5 layers of THIS nail polish on my fingers in the pictures above? Yes, I did apply a colorless base coat and 2 top coats on my nails as well.

Its staying power is not bad. It's now my 4th day wearing it and it's still quite intact. I can see some traces of chipping near the cuticle area. It's easy to remove, sometimes I peel it off which is not advisable but it amuses me :P

To summarize, here's what I love and hate about the Bobbie Kaleidoscope Polish in Cherie Red. Please take note that these are what I encountered. Our nails differ so what worked for me might not work for you, vise versa.

What I HATE!
  • Finish. For me, applying 1 to 2 coats of this polish is not enough to cover my nails. The finish is too opaque so I need to apply more layers to have that flawless look.
  • Longevity. Chipping started already on the 2nd day on my cuticle area.

What I LOVE!
  • Color. I'm so loving this icy pink and french pink color.
  • Finish. It dries easily, if you are applying 1 to 2 coats. If more, good luck with that.
  • Effect. I enjoy watching it transition. Even my partner finds it amazing.
  • Price. Not bad for a color changing nail polish. It's only 79.75. (approx. US$2).

Re-purchase?
- Yes of course! Even though I have to apply layer after layer and wait for it to dry like crazy, I still want to try the other colors available.

Recommend?
- If you don't mind wearing an opaque nail polish, I do recommend it! If you hate the idea of applying so many layers just to achieve the look I have in the pictures, you might want to PASS.

Kiss Mark?

Thank you guys for dropping by..

Feedback Time! Ever Bilena Matte Lipsticks

Hey Guys!

Before anything else, I can't believe HBC featured my San San HD Concealer review on their Facebook account. :)

Even though I pointed out some negative things about this product, they were open to criticism. I'm really impressed. No wonder they are successful.

Anyhoo! I'm going to share with you guys what I think about the Ever Bilena Matte Lipsticks. To our foreign friends, if you are planning to visit the Philippines, I highly recommend trying this product because of the variety of colors available.

You can choose from 19 colors. (Sorry not just 16!)

So far I have 3 colors. The first one I got was the Storm. Then I was craving for a darker color, so I bought the Dusk. Then I noticed Pink Flame was popular, so I bought it also.

The top comes off. Yes you can use them!

I remember the beauty consultant told me to apply this first before the lipstick to avoid drying. It's like a tinted balm. I have never used them. It's actually my first time opening the top.

Here's the ingredients and product description:
https://fbcdn-sphotos-e-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-frc3/t1.0-9/q83/s720x720/10172574_10202850333691780_2353613477757559414_n.jpghttps://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-frc1/t1.0-9/q82/s720x720/10014684_10202850334851809_2483557949782387743_n.jpg
This is the box of Pink Flame.

Swatch of the lipstick and the tinted balm:
The glossy ones are the balm.

Here's how they look like on my lips:
https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/t1.0-9/q79/s720x720/1795638_10202850323291520_6299705871501031267_n.jpg
Dusk (somewhat Maroon)

https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-frc3/t1.0-9/q75/s720x720/1535107_10202850322891510_1997979735809573629_n.jpg
Storm (somewhat Crimson)

https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/t1.0-9/q73/s720x720/10262107_10202850322971512_2461571955722734057_n.jpg
Pink Flame (somewhat Deep Pink)

In person, the colors are darker and more vibrant compared to the pictures. My favorite would be Storm. I love how it looks on me. I look mature and classy. I get a lot of compliment when I'm wearing that color.

Compared to other matte lipsticks, this one is quite easy to apply. Yes quite, because sometimes it's hard to apply. It's easy to remove but it will leave a stain on your lips which I really love because I don't need to worry about looking pale after eating or drinking. It may be matte but it will transfer to anything.

To summarize, here's what I love and hate about the Ever Bilena Matte Lipsticks. Please take note that these are what I encountered. Our lips differ so what worked for me might not work for you, vise versa.

What I HATE!
  • Packaging. The cap comes off easily. I really hate it! After several use, it's loose already. Everytime I reach for my lipstick inside my pouch, it doesn't have a cap on. Very unhygienic!
  • Paraben. Might be unhealthy.

What I LOVE!
  • Color Variety. So many colors available. Love it! :)
  • Texture. Pretty much easy to apply.
  • Finish. Doesn't make your lips look dry.
  • Pigment. The colors are vibrant. Except for the balm.
  • Price. Darn cheap! 165 (approx. US$4).

Re-purchase?
- Of course! :) I'm definitely trying the other colors.

Recommend?
- Big YES because it's not drying compared to other matte lipsticks in the market.

Kiss Mark?
